Enchanting

This is very well mixed. All of the instrumentation flows together perfectly. There is something very intense and yet gentle in Utada Hikaru's voice. She hits all of the high notes effortlessly and sings with so much texture, variation, and dynamic resonance. It is so polished and really examples Hikki's experience as a performer and a singer. The arrangement of violin-like, chord leads mixed with sort-of, techno-like arpeggios, works well with the verses which, seem to progress in minors. There is a nice transition from verse to chorus as well. A lot of music out right now doesn't have that. People go over board with effects and use delays to transcend, but in Colors, the effects are applied for enhancement rather then for musical purposes, and so this song has some actual sophistication to it.

Simply Colorful

Utada Hikaru is a very talented musician.She is a great singer in both languages(of course,because she's American),and is a great composer."Simple and Clean" is the first song that introduced me to loving Japan.After playing the game,"Kingdom Hearts", I kept hearing that song over and over again. "COLORS" is also a hit.I love listening to a song with such emphasis.No wonder she is an International star.I even hear she is doing a new recording called "Unity",the Official Athens 2004 Olympic Games Album on Island Records.I am definitely looking forward seeing Utada at the Olympics!

Utada Hikaru Is the Best!!

This review is for "Colors" single. I must say this is a great song. The main reson I bought this cd was because of the "Simple and Clean (PLANITb Remix)" I've looked all over for this remix and now I've got it. I highly recommend anything from Hikki her voice is so soft and soothing, I just love her. And J.F.Y.I. Hikaru was born here in the U.S. and is fluent in english thats why she speaks it so well... She is an American!!
