GOOD MATERIAL, BUT NOT ENOUGH

I AGREE WITH THE FIRST REVIEWER THAT THE FINAL TWO TRACKS ON THIS CD ARE WELL WRITTEN "BALLAD" TYPE SONGS, BUT THE NEGATIVE I HAVE ABOUT THEM IS BOTH SONGS ARE LESS THAN THREE MINUTES EACH - THESE SONGS COULD HAVE BEEN MASTERPIECES IF THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN EXTENDED MORE. ANYONE WHO BUYS THIS MUST UNDERSTAND THAT THIS ENTIRE CD IS JUST OVER EIGHT MINUTES LONG WITH ONE OF THE TRACKS BEING ON "THE TIME OF THE OATH".

The mellow side of Helloween

"Forever & One (Neverland)" is a departure for Helloween, a CD that showcases all ballads from the band. The opening track is "Forever & One", and as those of you who already have the album can attest to, this track is one of the best songs off "The Time of the Oath". What surprised me on this disc is the "B-sides" (if there can be such a thing on a CD)... both are Andi Deris compositions and both of them are just, to put it simply, beautiful songs. "Light in the Sky" showcases Andi's guitar & piano playing, while "Time Goes By" has Andi playing the guitar alone with no accompaniment. Both tracks are mixed & produced by Andi, and showcase his considerable songwriting skills. A definite must-have for any Helloween fan!
