Description: On the cover of Foreigner's newest collection, the letters that spell out
Complete Greatest Hits are cut out from world currency. For example, there's an
A from Antarctica, a
T from Trinidad, an
M from Mongolia, and so on. At least the drive behind this third greatest-hits compilation (fourth, if you count
The Best of Foreigner Live) is clearly admitted. Still, if anyone deserves your money, an argument can be made for guitarist Mick Jones and singer Lou Gramm. They've been through it all, and along the way, they've written a slew of songs you know well enough to perform at karaoke (but never as well, admittedly--Lou has a hell of a voice). Whether you liked them when they rocked ("Cold as Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Juke Box Hero") or preferred the power ballads they were credited with inventing ("Waiting for a Girl Like You," "I Want to Know What Love Is"), this album makes it feel like the very first time again.

Reviews:
A MUST OWN
Foreigner is such an amazing band. Their music not only rocks but the lyrics are right on the mark and Gramm's voice is to die for. This is an excellent collection of their greatest songs. How can any rock fan live without this stuff? Feels Like the First Time, Urgent, Double Vision, Cold as Ice, Head Games, Girl on the Moon, Waiting for a Girl Like You, I Want to Know What Love Is, Hot Blooded etc are all superb songs. It doesn't get better than this stuff.
Thank you for this compilation
Another Foreigner greatest hits, only this time it's the complete greatest hits. Wow. My mind has been blown, because I haven't heard Jukebox Hero or Cold as Ice enough. How many times can you put the same ten songs on a CD? Apparently not enough if you take into account Foreigner. I guess the question should also be asked, how many times will Foreigner fans be fooled into buying the same ten songs? Well, judging by how well these schlock-rock poster children's albums sell, I'd say at least four or five times. Have fun thinking that you're getting something new (and/or worth listening to) when really it's the same old songs, and the same old--still horrible--band playing them.

Yet another greatest hits album!
Rhino records 2002 release Foreigner the complete greatest hits,is completely unecessary. First of all, since the 1992 release of The Very Best and Beyond,Foreigner has only released one studio album, 1995's Mr.Moonlight.Next The Complete Greatest Hits doesn't really cover any new ground, only covers songs from 1977-1987, and 1 of the new songs from The Very Best and Beyond, hello what about Unsual Heat and Mr.Moonlight? Casual fans that only want the big hits should buy either The Very Best and Beyond or Records. The music on the Complete Greatest Hits is great, but there is no point in this complation existing with there being 3 other hits complations out there, for a band with only 8 studio albums. I personally recommend 1982's Records as a starting point, you only get the hits from the first 4 albums, but there is an excellent live version of Hot Blooded from the 1982 tour, that makes the disc worth purchasing alone.
