Description: Fear Factory has always been interested in technology, so it comes as no surprise that the group has decided to re-mix its 1995 disc Demanufacture. What is surprising is how seamlessly the band's riffs and rhythms blend with the pulsing beats and interstellar sounds of 1997's electronic music. Unlike many remix albums which simply augment songs with a smattering of computer effects, on Remanufacture, Fear Factory severely restructures and re-interprets its recordings to the point where the source material is sometimes unrecognizable. If Demanufacture was industrialized metal, Remanufacture is metallic techno that relies on ambient, drum & bass, and trip-hop beats as the foundation for the band's dynamic aural facelift. Welcome to the next millennium. --Jon Wiederhorn

Reviews:

Fear Factory - 'Remanufacture' (Roadrunner)

Fear Factory has never been one of my favorites.Although I remember seeing them open for Ozzy awhile back.I've had maybe like two of their releases in hand at most.'Remanufacture' is decent, but the other problem here is that unless you're a major fan or you're very much into remixes, you might want to think twice before getting a copy of this disc. Some of the tracks here I thought were okay are the title cut "Remanufacture","Genetic Blueprint","21st Century Jesus" and "T-1000".So-so industrial metal.Line-up:Burton C.Bell-vocals,Dino Cazares-guitar,Raymond Herrera-drums and Christian Olde Wolbers-bass.Should appeal to fans of Machine Head,Nailbomb,Coal Chamber and Earth Crisis.

Remanufacture

The Remanufacture album was the next level of remixes following Fear is the Mindkiller. If you have an open mind and enjoy something different from the normal metal then Remanufacture is an album to own.

Remanufacture a success - completely and 100%

Fear Factory continues in this release to push the proverbial boundary between techno and industrial metal and it's like a battle between the two styles. FF creates melds the two styles so perfectly as if in a symbiosis. A must listen to CD by all serious fans of Fear Factory.

Yes this CD has remixed songs from previous albums such as Remanufacture, New Breed and Replica. But overall the songs are great and have some awesome beats to them. I loved Burn and Machines of Hate.
