Reviews:

A must have or any Erasure fan

This CD includes the radio release track that first hit the air in 1989, so no surprise there. The Der Deutche mixes on tracks 2 and 3 are passable, but nothing to get excited about. Track number four, Runaround on the Underground, is a MASTERPIECE. The bass is hard driving, the background music is somewhat trance in its manner, and all in all the track makes buying this single worth having. The Mark Saunders remix of Blue Savannah is the best rendition to date. The Supernature track has lyrics fit for a Halloween movie soundtrack, but the music is exceptional. No GDM is a bit off the wall, even for Erasure, but a quality track altogether. If tracks 2 & 3 were omitted I'd rate this 9.99 on a 10 scale.

Great song, Weak mixes

"Blue Savannah" was truly one of "Wild's" best songs back in 1989 so when this maxi was released, i expected more than what i heard....THe Der Deutche mixes were very weak (especially II) and took alot away from the original emotion of the track itself. now, the Mark Saunders Remix? Now we're talking!! the song was magnificent, epic, and a masterpiece! i think the remix alone is worth the price of the CD. "Runaround on the Underground" is fantastic in 12" remix form with lucious pianos, but try to find it in its original version, it's precious and lovely (and shorter!) Supernature (remixed by master William Orbit) is great but a little cluttered the original (on the Hard to find "You Surround Me" UK single) is more fun. And "No GDM", well....that's another show altogether....CIAO BELLAS!

Kraftwerk meets Erasure

Despite everyone's dismissal of Der Deustche Mix I, it is a masterpiece. Most of the incidental and subtle percussion sounds are from Kraftwerk's Tour De France. It is a MUST have for this alone, and makes both Blue Savannah and Tour De France sound incredible.
