Breathtaking!

Ella is brilliant. Every phrase that she sings is golden...perfectly shaped and overflowing with love. There have been many excellent singers after her, but to me, no one touches my soul so directly.

I cried my eyes out while listening to "With A Song In My Heart" because of the tenderness and warmth that Ella communicates. Not only is her voice indescribably beautiful, her technique flawless and her imagination endless, her SOUL is IMMENSE.

Pure Heaven

Of all the Ella CD's I have, this is the one I keep in my CD player...When I listen to her incredible fluidity on the song "'Round Midnight," I am, despite the theme of the song, instantly transported into bliss because her angelic voice makes me so glad that such a recording(among many others of hers) exists for us to listen to.. over, and over again. Ella is my therapist, and no matter how bad a day I might have had, she is my stress-buster. Works every time.There is no denying that she cannot be categorized..she is on another level completely in the world of music. Buy this CD..you will cherish it.

This Album 'Round Anytime For Me!

Before buying this CD, I had my very first taste of Ella when I bought The Best of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. That album took my breath away, and I couldn't wait to get my paws on more Ella filled albums.

This album was a lovely change of pace for me. It was also an opportunity to get a better feel of Ella's range musically. I loved the slow ballads, serious, and more playful songs.

I think this album is very easy to get into and love, especially if you are already a fan of Jazz.
