Reviews:

3 albums that span continents of style... A++

Who is this clown rohitrao who just wants to waste his time praising old-fart druggie droning and going after bands in totally different genres? Cripes, get a life! And deal with the fact that Gilmore played with these lads for a reason...

Duran Duran's first three albums cover more ground than Pink Floyd ever WILL! PinkF wrote a few Excellent #'s but will always stay stuck in their rut. DD have covered more ground in their careers, much less these 3 albums, than most bands EVER will.. try to deny that, goofus! These 3 DD albums tested the boundaries of sound, and where a band could go, while striking a chord with the world consciousness(Pink Floyd were never compared to the Beatles..).

The first CD shows a band jumping up to proclaim itself with exceptional zeal, the second was perhaps their masterpiece in bravado, excitement and breadth, and the 3rd perhaps suffers from overproduction and silly topics. Personally though, I enjoyed the ambiguous lyrics as I always appreciate mystery and impressionism. Stretch your audiences imagination, you'll both grow from the experience. And, to top things off, the last two songs on Seven and the Ragged Tiger (Tiger Tiger and Seventh Stranger) encompass as much atmosphere and intrigue as a whole Pink Floyd excursion, in 1/6 of the time; and THAT is much more palatable and effective than hours and hours in a PF daze.

5 stars easily, as a collection.

Three classics for one affordable price!

Now, if this ain't heaven, I don't know what is. Three timeless classics that have been beautifully remastered and reissued. I also can't wait for their new "Astronaut" album to come out, as it will be the most-acclaimed record of the year! Buy today, if you have any taste at all. It could be the most important purchase of your life.
