A masterpiece from the 70's

I have to confess that the title of the album caught my attention
and made buy it. What a surprise! The sound is so refreshing and
somehow delightful to my ears. From the opening title track to the final one, I was left with the desire of listening to Dionne Warwick's charismatic and beautiful voice. This is one of her recordings with Warner Bros. I hope that the other albums receive
the same treatment as this one and be reissued in CD format. Ms
Warwick deserve a special place in my CD collection. Keep them
coming up.

Dionne puts the 'cat' in 'track'

Normally I would get sick of listening to Dionne's voice over-and-over due to her resinence on her Bacharach/David songs are exactly the same, and the songs are just too much alike one another. However, with this album... you get to see what Dionne can really do!



I think the title track, 'His House and Me' and 'Once You Hit The Road' are by far the best tracks on the album. What urks me is that how this album has gotten just bad and absolutely terrible reviews upon its release and over the past 20 year since its debut. It really and truely does amaze me how a gem like this could go overlooked. But many times when artists try something new, the general and immediate public don't go for it when such a small but risque venture is carried out and followed through upon.



Please... go out and buy this CD. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.

Smooth Dionne

First i want to thank David Nathan for reissueing this GEM!!! All of Dionne's 70's lp's are OVERLOOKED pieces of Great Music!!!
Thom Bell one of the best producers, songwriters ever produced this lp on Dionne, this lp i think is her smoothest vocally, great songs, just a wonderful cd!!
