Reviews:

A magnificent example of Kraut-rock at it's best.

This maxi-single, a double A-side lifted from the album "Crash Landing", contains the two best tracks from the previously mentioned album, without a doubt. Die Toten Hosen released "Pushed Again" during their 20th anniversary, and let me tell you, DtH have only become better with age. The first track we hear is the title track, "Pushed Again", which takes us from mellow electric chords, to guitar thrashing, then back again, is easily the Hosen's best English language song. The lyrics are simply awesome ("Why can't you just leave me alone? Solitude is a faithfull friend."), and I've yet to find someone who doesn't like the sound of Campino's voice. I'd recommend this disc for "Pushed Again" alone, but alas, we have THREE more incredible tracks to go...
"Alles ist Eins" is the first of two German language tracks on the single, and it's basically a soft, acoustic song. Lovely, but nothing special about it.
"Fliegen" is the second of the two German tracks, yet this one surprised me but not being an A-side! I've heard many DtH songs less worthy of being an A-side than this. However, it only makes "Pushed Again" that much more of an attractive purchase. It's simple in theory, but this song is very catchy. Beware.
Lastly, we are given "Revenge". It's not quite as well written as "Pushed Again", yet is it the second A-side from "Crash Landing" to appear on this maxi. It's a very energetic song, depicting how "We want Revenge, we want it now!", and basically how the people will overthrow the suppresors, whomever they may be. An uplifting tune with more crashing guitars.
All in all, there is not a dull moment on this disc. The only song I could imagine any one of you not enjoying is "Alles ist Eins", due to it's more mellow nature, yet I enjoyed every minute of this CD.
... It is a fine example of German music, Die Toten Hosen, and what a single should be.
