I first saw one of their music videos in German class (ich war so gerne millionar)(the millionar song) i have never heard the cd, but the music is excellent.

Einfach fantastisch!

Bought this during my last stay in Germany and now I am singing along with all of the songs. It's easy to understand and the words make you laugh, plus they are really good singers (all alumns of the Thomanerchor). Even if you don't understand German, you're bound to like the upbeat feeling coming from this disk.

Excellent whether or not you are a German Speaker

When I first listened to this CD several years ago, I could barely understand a word that was sung. Nevertheless, I still found it quite enjoyable to listen to. Since then I have taken several years of German and found, to my pleasant surprise, that the lyrics are quite witty. A nice bonus to an album that is already one of my favorites.

As the title suggests, this album is (except for a bit of percussion) entirely a-capella (w/o instruments). All the better, for it is easier to hear the incredible harmonies and range of this all-male group. From the low bass part in "Man im Mond" to the falsetto harmony in most of the songs, the vocal talent of this group is incredible. Add to this catchy melodies and neat lyrics (the harmony part to "Millionair" includes a part consisting entirely of the German word for money) and you have a great album
