Reviews:

A Super Compilation

This compilation of the legendary Diana Ross just sounds great to my ears. Eleven tracks and all of them are great. I am especially fond of Touch Me In The Morning, Do You Know Where You're Going To, and I'm Comming Out. The styles just blend so nice from ballads to soul to funky disco classics. Major league fans of Miss Ross should probably look for a more extensive compilation but this single set CD is a great introduction to the legendress.

Finally: A CD for adult women to DANCE to

After all the teenybopper pop that just leaves me feeling EXHAUSTED (you ladies will understand), I have found a cheap cd that is designed for active, adult WOMEN. No matter what mood I happen to find myself in, my lady friends and I will drink some wine and bathe in the sounds of Diana Ross (forget Springsteen, she's the Boss to us!!). Whether it is the (...)busting disco grooves of "Upside Down" and "I'm Coming Out", or the eroticism of steamy ballads like "Endless Love" (one word ladies: Lionel!), I end up needing a cold shower and a cup of black coffee after listening.

And unlike so many Diana Ross compilations that are over-priced and loaded with FILLER, this is a lean and mean cd that features the best of the best. And it won't leave you wondering where your hard-earned cash went, which is hard to come by in the marketplace if you are a strong female. Diana is the Boss, and she's a "woman of color" to boot, showing the white-male-dominated music industry just where the graaaavy is, baaaaby!!

Pretty Good Solo Diana Retrospective

This set includes pretty much all of her biggest hits through-out the 70's and into the early 80's. Many of these hit #1 including her debut single "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," the ballads "Touch Me In the Morning," and "Do You Know Where You're Going To" and then her disco smashes "Love Hangover" and "Upside Down." And of course her massive hit duet "Endless Love" with Lionel Richie is added in. "I'm Coming Out" is also here. This is a great collection to see what Diana Ross was all about.
