Reviews:

A blast from the past

New life is the second single released by a new electronic group called Depeche Mode, named after some french magazine (hey, it beats their original "Glowing worms" name).

Well, the a-side "New life" is a nice melodic and cheerful electro song that will probably be a hit in every school party.

However, the b-side song "Shout" is the more interesting song. It has a darker mood, interesting percussions and nice bassline. I'm sure that in years to come, this song will be the one that people listen too on this single.

I'm quite sure that this band will do well in the future. They have a great vocalist and it seems to me they are quite talented.

Definitely worth it!

I definitely disagree with a review that stated the idea that Shout was a bad song! I think Shout is a GREAT B-side, and nothing less, it all comes down to personal opinion obviously, but there is truly nothing wrong with Shout, so buy this CD-single and see for yourself!

Quick note: New Life

I haven't actually bought this single yet, butI own "Speak and Spell"and "New Life" is a greatsong, so I advise that you get it if you don't wantto shell out thirteen bucks for the whole album. Also, "Shout" is an old B-side that's not included on any proper American DM release, so that's a cool bonus.
