Martin's vocal style and orchestration was a throwback to an earlier era, but there is something appealing about his smooth vocals and his boozy persona. He was a fixture of the Sixties culture and constantly in the public eye, whether it was his Matt Helm movies, his weekly TV series or his music.
Until Reprise releases these songs domestically, this is the best single disc overview of his Sixties output. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
