Reviews:

perhaps the only 1990s album I long for

I was in 8th grade when this album came out, and hearing the Superman Song was what clued me on to it. Its perhaps the only album from the 1990s that Id care to listen to more than once. Its a spritely record and its smash hit Superman Song spoke to something philosophical: even heroes have their limitations. I always remember my teen yrs when I hear this album. And who says Canadian rock bands lacked originality?

The First and Finest

While I love the Dummies' subsequent and highly-stylized forrays into the tangled human psyche, Ghost is by far the most clever and most fun. The dreariness of the subjects is mitigated by the warm, open jangle of accoustic guitar, mandolin and banjo, sassy organ riffs and a happy little penny whistle. If these are ghost stories (and they certainly are!), they're being told in a treehouse by your favorite eccentric grandpa. This is a must-have for fans and newbies alike.

Top Ten Album

This album and "God shuffle his feet" are 2 of my top ten favorite albums of all time. Brad Roberts unique Baritone voice is unmatched by any other performer I have heard. His lyrics are both clever and introspective. Do not miss these two rRecordings.
