Reviews:

An exciting album

Connie Francis' first album, "Who's Sorry Now," a hastily-assembled hodgepodge with no direction and a cover so unattractive she made darned sure what followed was top-of-the-line, M-G-M marketed her as sort of a male Bobby Darin with this album. It's brassy and bold and show bizzy and she wasn't to try this kind of music again for a long time. The album did prove she had a lot more going for her than hit records and it was just a matter of time to find the audience beyond the teens. This was Connie's second album and it was followed by about every kind of music you could imagine tried in an attempt to get her an adult audience that would stick--standards, Italian music, c & w, rock 'n roll, even kids' songs, even SIX (count 'em, six) albums released on the same day. Strangely, it was the Italian album that did the trick. Well, SOMETHING had to work out of all this. Connie's problem was that she could do too much too well but eventually it all paid off. Great album--get it!

Exciting!

Connie soars on this one. Connie attacks each song with gusto and clarity. Vibrant and bright. Time After Time is one of Connie's best recordings, adding just the right amount of vibrato and her signature intonation to make the song her own. This is Connie in pure voice, embracing the standards as only she can.

The best album Connie has ever put out!!

This CD is a re-make of her second album -- many great memories here!! Could someone let me know where I can get a copy of this CD in Canada?
