Reviews:

CHECK OUT "THE DEFINITIVE CHRISTOPHER CROSS"!!!

This CD contains some of Cross' hits, but before purchasing this, all fans should first check out the digitally remastered "The Definitive Christopher Cross" available here. TDCC contains nineteen songs, seven of which were top hits and also includes "A Chance for Heaven" written for the '84 Olympics. I bought this CD recently and love it! If you are a Christopher Cross fan (and who isn't) this is the ultimate collection to date. It offers all the hits as well as a good sampling of lesser known material such as the wonderful "In The Blink of an Eye". For further info, check out my review on TDCC.

Good Set

I dug alot of Christopher Cross's early stuff.all the main hits are here."Ride like the wind" is a timeless song."sailing" still sounds fresh to me.He had alot of early hits&then things gotta went away but He has alot of solid songs that will hold up for many Decades to come.it's a Good Set.

Where is the American counterpart?

This release gets 4 stars simply because there has been no effort on the part of Warner Bros. to put together ANY kind of Christopher CRoss compilation! What is with these Neanderthals?! Even Leif Garrett has a compilation CD out, for God's sake...

That said, the most essential songs are here: "Sailing," "Ride Like The Wind," Arthur's Theme" and "All Right." But why include "Words Of Wisdom" (From Another Page) when it was never even released as a single? And why put "Love Is Love" on the collection but leave off "Never Be The Same," a top 10 hit single?

A definitive (HINT: 2 disc) compilation would include "Think Of Laura," "A Chance At Heaven" (recorded for the 1984 Olympics tribute album) and "The Best Christmas" (1990), as well as several worthwhile songs from his latest releases. Here's hoping this will happen during my lifetime! Until then, this release is well worth the extra cost of admission!
