Track listing:
1. Falsas Esperanzas (Album Version): On her Spanish album MI REFLEJO. Running time 2:57
2. Falsas Esperanzas (Dance Radio Mix): This version starts off with the chorus, while a catchy house beat pulses in the background. 3:26
3. Falsas Esperanzas (Spanish Dance Club Mix): In my opinion, the better of the two dance mixes, with a slightly different infusion of rhythm than the radio mix. 5:24
4. Falsas Esperanzas (Tropical Mix): I was very disappointed with this mix when I first listened to it, since I expected it to be a fast-paced salsa rhythm like "Cuando No Es Contigo". This mix actually converts the song to a ballad, and her vocals have been slowed down a tempo. The only thing that makes this "tropical" is a piano, a drum set, and a trumpet. But I must admit, after listening to it 7 or 8 times, it finally grows on you. 3:06
5. Falsas Esperanzas (Strictly for deejays mix): This is actually a dub, with an awesome bass-pounding beat. It's not the complete song; the only lines sung in this mix are "No te creo, no," followed later by the words "No me des," "No me digas," "No te creo, no" repeated twice, and then the whole chorus, with the words "falsas esperanzas". The rhythm is off-the-hook! Perfect for dancing or for working out. If you're a DJ, you'll have to find a way to play this at your next party. 7:07
In conclusion: it's an excellent investment if you love to hear Christina sing in Spanish. May I also recommend her out-of-print Spanish single: "Pero Me Acuerdo De Ti."
