Description: One of the most popular artists of the early-'70s singer-songwriter explosion, Carly Simon made her reputation by combining radio-friendly musical values with lyrics that tackled issues of romance and family with a frankness that's still disarming. In the time since, she's explored a variety of styles, all of which are represented on this nicely packaged 3 CD, 58-song set, which offers a good overview of her catalog, with a disc of her best-known hits (including "You're So Vain," "That's the Way I've Always Heard It Should Be," "Anticipation," "You Belong to Me," and "Let the River Run"), a disc of ballads, and a disc of rare and previously-unreleased material.

Reviews:
AWFUL BOXED SET
Carly Simon is a singer I do not like at all, and she does exactly three songs that I like, and one of them is not here: "The Spy Who Loved Me". Her version of "Mockingbird" is so inferior to Toby Keith's it is not even funny. I would recommend only getting one CD of hers to get a few selected songs, and that is it. A complete total waste of money.
The Very Best of Carly Simon and Beyond
This is the ultimate collection of Hits and all of the other songs in between that make up Carly Simom's illustrive career. For more than 30 years her songs have been FM staples on the radio. This 3CD collection has all of her Greatest Hits and her most personal songs. This is the ultimate collection for the Carly Simon fan and for anyone who grew up loving and listening to the sweet and soulful sounds of this legendary singer and songwriter. Look no futher "Clouds In My Coffee" is the best and most up to date compilation of all her greatest works. A real classic that will transend from one generation to the next. Carly Simon's music will always be timeless just like the artist herself that made these songs a part of our lives. BRILLIANT!!!
not all the good stuff
I don't know who decides what cuts to put on these albums. Some of the best artistic songs aren't here.
I love "Spy". How come its only on the title album? Gosh, that song was so special at the time it came out -- great album.
Everything else on this is good stuff, too, and Carly will always be my hottest babe, but more than one great cut is missing.
Oh well, you can always get hold of the original or remastered originals. Wish it was more complete!
