Great Stuff

RIP.Barry White was one of those Cats that you always knew where He was coming from in his Music&He also had more going on than He might be leading on.you can feel the depth in His work no matter what the subject matter.those 70's Strings are timeless. He truly hit you non-stop during His peak&Prime 70's run.not alot in the 80's but He came back in the 90's.He was One of the Baddest Cats that I have Ever heard&I'm glad that He brought His gift&shared it with the rest of the World.

Just For Casual Fans!

The late Barry White was the one voice that is easily recognizable in the early 1970s. Just when disco was spawned, he became well-known not just for the R & B audiences but for the pop mainstream. Thus, the songs that are included during his early days were big hits. Obviously, the one notable track missing is "You're My First, My Last, My Everything". I'm wondering why?

However, what makes this collection an "original" compared to previous hit collections is his last two songs: "Practice What You Preach" and "Staying Power". Getting those two songs would be worth it for the casual fan.

Brief liner notes and pictures are included.

The addition of one cut would give it FIVE STARS!

As a disc that dips into the long career of the late Mr. White, this is a good compilation. However, the disc would've fared better if instead of "Oh, What A Night for Dancing", White's remake of Billy Joel's "Just the Way You Are" would have been included.

That one track would have made this a must-have for the casual or the die-hard White fan.
