1) Album Version - 3:24 - you've heard it on the radio. You've heard it on the cd that I know you purchased. You know how it goes, and you know that you love it.
2) Fragma Remix - 6:02 - This was a surprise to me. To see Fragma doing a remix of a BSB tune. Fragma, you may recall, released a huge single not too long ago entitled "Toca's Miracle". If you've heard that one, you can hear the inspiration that song gave to this remix. An awesome mix that brings a trance-like element to the BSB. Hard and pounding beats that are destined to get your feet thumpin.
3) Tom Novy Remix - 6:15 - This mix starts out with quite a slow and monotonous beat and does not do very much after that. It adds a few computer bleeps and blips and sounds like a video game has gone awry. The vocals have been chopped up and been put in front of an interesting beat that is reminiscent of Jaydee's "Plastic Dreams". Although Tom Novy gave this a good try this is not a good mix at all.
4) Neptunes Remix With Rap - 3:53 - This is the version that is played with the music video. A nice solid R&B bassline is added to this mix to give the song more of an urban feel. The rap is well placed and helps enhance the quality of the remix. Nice work here from the Neptunes (who have also worked with Prince & Kelis)
5) Kruger Mix - 5:20 - No, your cd is not skipping, although the intro sounds like it is, it's supposed to. Those choppy sounds bring you into the two-step garage sound that is huge in the UK, but doesn't seem to be doing too much anywhere else. This remix shows us why. A dull and plodding mix that bores you to tears, even the most avid of BSB fans will be disappointed by this one. The fact that there are no real use of the boys vocals in here kill this mix.
6) Thunderpuss Radio Edit - 3:08 - A compact radio edit of the full Thunderpuss mix which is reviewed next. A very good radio edit here.
7) Thunderpuss Club Mix - 8:26 - Those Thunderpuss boys (who have remixed for Amber, Tamia, Whitney Houston & Deborah Cox among others) give us a fast and furious remix that is eight minutes of pure energy! You can't help but dance to this one! An awesome intro consisting of the refrains of "Gotta go" and a build up of beats to knock your socks off until you reach a fever pitch before the two minute mark when the vocals come into play! An awesome mix here! From the first beat to the very last, you are in heaven!
8) Thunderdub - 8:00 - A dub is basically the remix with less words. This one is no exception, and although the beats are fast and furious like the mix is, the missing vocals are going to bother some of the more top 40 oriented listeners. And eight minutes of vocal snippets mixed in with tuff beats may be great for the clubs, but for at home listening, it may get to be a bit much.
So pick this disc up for the Original Mix, The Fragma Remix, Neptunes Remix & Thunderpuss Club Mix. If you are a fan of the Boys, you will be glad that you did.
