Reviews:

'Music'

If you're reading this review, you've more than likely heard at least some of 311's music, like the hits 'Down', 'All Mixed Up', 'Amber', etc. While this album doesn't contain any hits, it does arguably contain 311's finest songs. From the headbanger songs 'Visit', 'Unity' to the chill songs 'My Stoney Baby', 'Nix Hex' to the headbanger/chill songs 'Freak Out', 'Hydroponic' to the concert favorites 'Feels So Good', 'F*ck The Bullsh*t' this album is very well balanced with its array of styles and the rapping is the best i've ever heard. This is easily 311's most solid album to date. Strongly recommended.

311 - Music

311's 1st album is a compilation of all their earlier LP's with other material. Any 311 fan will tell you this is must have because of famous songs such as Do You Right, Feels So Good, and Fat Chance (F!@k The Bulls#$t). These songs are traditionally played at their amazing concerts and usually bring the house down. This album blends relaxing tunes such as Nix Hex with some loud songs that get you pumped up like Feels So Good. This is a musically rich album with a lot of melodies. A necessity of anyone who likes 311 or rap-rock or almost any type of music. Chad Sexton on percussion is incredible to listen to for those who play the drums or to the casual listener. P-nut's bass skills are nearly unmatched in the music business. Tim Mahoney wails out some great melodies on guitar while leadman Nick Hexum and Singer/DJ SA Martinez bust out the rhymes. Unreal album, you will not regret by this album after the 3rd straight month it's in your cd player.

311's Finest Work

I have been a fan of 311 for about four years now, and unfortunately, I was unable to locate this CD until a few months ago. To state it simply, this is 311's best arrangement of music. In my opinion, it contains their most unique and original music as well as some of their most complex. "Visit" is one of the best 311 songs of all time. "My Stoney Baby" is also one of my personal favorites from 311. If you are a 311 fan, then beg, borrow, and steal for this CD. Casual fans may not like the different sound as opposed to their newer songs. However, if you have a bit of sense, then you'll enjoy this CD.

Amazing

All 311 CDs, simply put, are amazing. You could listen to each one over and over for months at a time (I usually do). Chad Sexton is one of the all time best drummers ever (His live solos kickass), P-Nut is a highly skilled bass player (I'd say he's better than Flea...), and Tim Mahoney's playing is incredible (Especially the solos). A definate must have for any 311 fan.

Awesome-wo!

This was the third 311 CD I had bought sence I've only been a fan for a year or half. But this Cd was greaat!! The rythem changes and voals were amazing. Especialy P-Nut's(bass player) superve funk-slapp bass playing. S.A(vocals) and Nick Hex(vocal) rap interchangable voices were really cool. And the guitar was perfect, heavy riffs when needed and light reggea-funk tunes at the right moment. Overall this CD was AWESOME!

Don't Say No To Drugs

311's debut album is an infectious mix of funk-metal and hip-hop. While the band fails to come up with a consistently solid batch of songs, their raw energy makes up for the lack of strong songwriting.
