Description: Simultaneously serving as both endless fodder for intellectual debates and the album most likely to be blaring out of the adjacent car's window,
All Eyez on Me is a phenomenon that packs a wallop with every listen. Unquestionably the most nihilistic album to top the
Billboard charts--and it's doubtful that any will match it--
Eyez also manages to dish out the good-times dance tunes and still flow seamlessly. Recording commenced within hours of Tupac Shakur's release from prison, and a year's worth of pent-up ideas are unleashed with a fury akin to lifting the lid on a box of plutonium. The line between high art and insufferable reality, possibilities and self-destruction, has never been so blurred.
Eyez is a landmark achievement that is unlikely to be topped by any heir apparent to the hip-hop crown.

A two pack of what?
Two pack? I'm more of a six pack kind of guy you know? Two beers just don't do it for me.
BEST ALBUM
This album is defitenly 2pac's best album before his death. This album was the first RAP double disc album. It sold around 9 million copies and made him a "thug" and become very famous. Some tight ass songs are only god cn judge me and all eyez on me and much more. Great lyrics and bomb ass beats.I cant believe Nas used the "all eyez on me" beat to put into his song called street dreams, WHAT A FAKER. ALL EYEZ ON ME has to be in ur pac collection. THATS IT
Kind of a let down
When I heard 2pac released this album for Death Row, I thought it would be as great as The Chronic. That was true to form on Disc 1 with every track forming a great disc. Disc 2 though was a scattered mess and made me have mixed opinions about the album as a whole. Disc 1 is like a platinum album and Disc 2 is like an awful album that was made. Put the two together and you'll think to yourself what the hell was I thinking buying this album? If you want Pac at his finest, buy Me Against The World. But pass on this. You'll be very disappointed!
tha shiznit

The only true rapper that has ever existed!
Personally, being a huge rock fan, and not listening that much to rap, there's one artist that I dig, and that's 2Pac! In my opinion, the only really great rapper of all time! There's so much sh*t out there, atleast nowadays, 50 Cent & his friends for example, and there will always be. The only respectable rappers from this day are Kanye West, Twista, Eminem (used to be good) and perhaps Ludacris (he's funny)...But 2Pac beats them all. Yes, Pac had some clichés in his songs too, corcerning material (cars, money, hoes...)but, he had a lot to say in many songs too, he had awesome beats, melodies and a great voice! He also was a good actor and, outside rap, a poet! "All eyez on me", is a double album with 27 great songs, and no interludes included (which often suck and just fill the album), there's music only! Guest rappers too like Snoop Dogg, are here to express themselves. There's deeper songs, there's more love-like songs and there's pure party songs, and almost every of the 27 tracks are really neat, and sound different from the previous. The biggest hits from the album are "California Love" (with Dre), "All About U" "How Do You Want It" & "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" (with Snoop), the title track "All Eyez On Me", is perhaps my favourite song of all, although hard to choose just one. Quality beats quantity, we all know that, and this album succeeds in that, more than well, with 27 songs, sounding all good and well-worked! Pac isn't here to fool anyone, he's made a monster of rap album, remaining a rapalbum must-have to this day! No one, I mean no one, can call themselves a true rap-fan if 2Pac isn't among your favourites!
You let yourself go man...
I've gotta say I'm a real Tupac fan- Strictly 4 My Niggaz, Tupacalypse Now and Me Against The World were all superb albums that had great beats and bass lines accompanied by some of the man's best lyrical work.
This, on the other hand (his first album after joining Death Row Records) seems to be more like that tosh getting released these days by Fiddee and Ja Rule. He spends too long slating his fellow rappers- Biggie and Dre most notably- when perhaps he should have been having a good look at some of the production here.
Two cds never seems to be the best idea on a rap album, and I'm thinking of Wu-Tang Forver here as well (which wasn't exactly ground-breaking either), but this album simply has a general mediocre feeling to it. There's too many tracks like Whatz Ya Phone #, Shorty Wanna Be a Thug etc, and while you get the occasional classic like Picture Me Rollin', there's simply not enough quality here. Even that Tupac classic California Love is a dodgy remix (encouraging you to buy the single no doubt!!), and all in all this is a rather tame affair which did, and still does nothing to add to the rap genre in the slightest.
If you want to listen to a good Tupac album I suggest investing your money elsewhere, in his older stuff, and leaving this on the shelf.
